Our raw material supply is deeply rooted in the National Special Steel R&D and Production Base (Pangang Changcheng Special Steel), which possesses extensive practical experience and core technologies in specialized manufacturing, mold making, and the petrochemical energy sector.

As a leading force in China’s high-end metal materials industry, the base boasts over half a century of expertise in special smelting, maintaining a robust annual production capacity of 500,000 tons of special steel and 700,000 tons of special steel products.

Tooling & Mold Manufacturing

The base develops and produces high-isotropy, long-life mold steels, high-polishability and corrosion-resistant mirror-finish mold steels, ultra-hard and wear-resistant mold materials, powder metallurgy steels, and large-scale three-way equal toughness mold steels according to universal standards and customer requirements.

Our portfolio includes super high-speed steels and specialized cutting tool steels for extra-large tunnel boring machines (TBM). We offer long-life super hot-work mold steels featuring excellent thermal strength, plasticity, fatigue resistance, and conductivity at high temperatures, as well as cold-work mold steels that achieve an optimal balance of plasticity, wear resistance, and compressive strength.

Petrochemical & Energy Sector

Our product range for the petrochemical and energy sectors includes high-corrosion-resistant super stainless steels, high-formability steels, heat- and oxidation-resistant alloys, high-nitrogen stainless steels, and materials for large-scale fertilizer equipment.
We specialize in special stainless steels for ultra-low temperature pressure vessels, nanocrystalline (single crystal) steels, ultra-high strength steels with high fracture toughness, and anti-bio-corrosion materials for marine engineering. Our high-strength non-magnetic steels for deep-sea drilling and special steels for cryogenic deep-well valve bodies are widely utilized in nuclear power, oil & gas, chemical processing, aerospace, marine engineering, machinery, and medical sectors.

Special Smelting & Forging Production Line

Our special smelting facilities are equipped with world-class machinery, including 40-ton Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) furnaces, 40-ton Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) furnaces, 7-ton protective atmosphere Electroslag Remelting (ESR) furnaces, and 25-ton ingot-withdrawal ESR furnaces.
By utilizing advanced metallurgical process combinations such as Electroslag Remelting (ESR) and VIM + VAR, the steel ingots produced exhibit a dense and uniform microstructure, exceptional purity, and highly stable chemical composition. These characteristics ensure that our materials fulfill the most stringent quality requirements for high-end special steel in specialized applications.
Our primary forging facilities consist of a 45/50MN Rapid Forging Unit and an 18MN Precision Forging Unit, representing the pinnacle of global forging technology. With an annual production capacity of 90,000 tons of premium forged products, this facility stands as the largest special steel forging base in Southwest China.

Bar and Wire Rod Continuous Rolling Production Line

The Bar and Wire Rod Continuous Rolling Production Line was officially commissioned in April 2009. It features an annual production capacity of 450,000 tons of bearing steel, spring steel, gear steel, and stainless steel bar/wire products, along with 200,000 tons of high-quality special steels, including corrosion-resistant alloys.

These products are widely utilized in transportation, telecommunications, energy, petrochemicals, and machinery manufacturing, providing essential steel materials for global industrial advancement.

Extruded Precision Pipe Production Line

The Extruded Precision Pipe Production Line consists of an extrusion line and a precision seamless pipe line. It maintains an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons of seamless pipes (including stainless steel, superalloys, corrosion-resistant alloys, and special carbon/alloy structural steels) and 10,000 tons of extruded profiles. These products are extensively applied in aviation, aerospace, nuclear power, boiler manufacturing, oil & gas, and chemical engineering.

Primary Rolling Flat Steel Production Line

The Primary Rolling Flat Steel Production Line produces a diverse range of high-performance materials, including high-corrosion-resistant super stainless steel, high-formability and heat-resistant alloys, and high-nitrogen stainless steel.
Our portfolio encompasses specialized materials for large-scale fertilizer equipment, cryogenic pressure vessels, nanocrystalline (single crystal) steels, and ultra-high strength steels with high fracture toughness. Furthermore, we provide anti-bio-corrosion materials for marine engineering, high-strength non-magnetic steels for deep-sea drilling, and special steels for cryogenic deep-well valve bodies. These products are widely utilized in nuclear power, oil & gas, aerospace, naval vessels, and the medical sector.
